Dr. Juan Boon TAN

Dr. Juan Boon TAN is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff in the Technology Division of GlobalFoundries. He has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. He was awarded the Master Inventor title for his contributions in GlobalFoundries innovation. He is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Advanced Packaging Technical Committee of SEMI Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining GlobalFoundries, Juan Boon was a key member of the research and development team of Chartered Semiconductor, Singapore and IBM East Fishkill, USA. He has authored and co-authored over 50 publications in journals, technical magazines and conferences, and has over 100 patents. He was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship and obtained his Engineering Science D.Phil degree from the University of Oxford, UK.
